This fan has awesome specs, 715 cfm air flow and only 6 sones, and it's classy and has 6 speeds and an LCD display. Only the highest speed makes any appreciable noise.
That is why it's so very difficult to rate this fan as POOR - because it produces really excessive electromagnetic interference on all AM bands above about 850 Khz, with our high-end Sangean AM radio. When I turned our new fan on, I was amazed to find that my radio had a lot of background noise even 12 feet away. 24 feet away from our fan, the problem still persisted. The radio was operating on batteries, so noise transmission through the power lines was not possible. Don't expect to watch broadcast TV or listen to the radio while you are cooking in the kitchen with this fan turned on.
Our previous fan was an over-the-range GE spacemaker microwave. There is virtually no Electromagnetic Interference from the fan in this microwave.
