I picked the ODW-120A for a one bathroom home in the Midwest where incoming water temperatures reach the upper 40's in winter. The heater is rated at 2.9 GPM at a 75 degree rise so it easily handles the 72 degree rise that I've been needing this winter and provides all the hot water we can use for one shower and one faucet at a time. If you're in a warmer climate, the ODW-099A should be a good choice in a one bathroom home.
We had recently upgraded our home to central air conditioning with a high efficiency furnace. After that was professionally installed, I noticed that the natural draft water heater was no longer venting in summer through what used to be a shared chimney. Any new water heater needed to resolve that problem so if the venting wasn't simply PVC, I was going to need professional help along with all the costs that involved. My outside wall was also...
