I've been cooking on this range for over 5 months now and it is just great! No complaints at all. It's easy to clean, the oven temp is very even, and the controls are very easy to master. I love the precise simmer burner (right rear) - very useful for when you don't want to overheat something or when you need something to stay warm for a long time. I wasn't sure about this range at first - I've been cooking on a solid surface electric range for years - but I wouldn't part with it now. Perfect gas range unless you want all the bells and whistles. For the price, I don't think you could beat this one!

We just got this DMT800RHB dishwasher a couple of weeks ago to replace our old KitchenAid model. We have a family of 5 and we tend to use our dishwasher a lot - so this thing has already gotten quite a bit of use.

Although we really like this new unit from Samsung, there are a few issues that we weren't expecting.

Before getting into that, let me start with the things this dishwasher does well:

1) When it comes to cleaning dishes, this dishwasher excels! We've put in dishes that never would have come clean in any other dishwasher we've owned - and they come out looking spotless. Since the main purpose of a dishwasher is to clean dishes, I'd have to recommend this Samsung DMT800RHB based on the cleaning ability alone.

2) Our old dishwasher actually ran pretty quiet - to the point where we would get comments on how quiet it was. This Samsung, on the other hand, is almost completely silent. It's about the same noise level as a modern... Read more

Ok so when I was looking for dishwashers I had a couple of requirements. One it had to be black to match my kitchen and also I wanted a food grinder in it. The Samsung had both. It looked nice, but the reviews were so mixed. Some people loved it others hated it. It did well in Consumer Reports so I went for it. I've had it less than 2 months and can honestly say I hate it. Day 1 we keep getting an error telling us water was leaking. Tried calling the place we bought it but was told we had to go thru Samsung for the first year of warranty. Called them and they told us it would take over 2 weeks to get someone out there. Here we were not even having run the damn thing once and we were stuck. My husband had already hauled our old dishwasher out to the curb which wasn't an easy task so he couldn't just bring the old one back for a couple of weeks. I bought this refrigerator in January and had it delivered to my home in February. I've had it for almost 4 months now and haven't had any issues. The appliance itself is beautiful, inside and out. It's very large, so make sure you measure and have the space for it before you order it. I feel like this appliance and the other matching ones I ordered gave my kitchen an instant facelift!

The temperature controls on the front are handy. I don't mess with them much, but there is an option for extra cooling in the fridge section for when you go grocery shopping and put your items inside. It cools them down faster than normal to reduce bacteria. The ice maker works well. Occasionally I have issues with the ice clumping together and I have to reach in and shake it all around, but I've had that issue with many other icemakers. I haven't had an issue with the shelving the way the other reviewer mentioned, but occasionally I have trouble getting my cheese drawer to pull out. It seems... Read more

Have a 2 year old side by side GE profile, it started to get warmer and running constantly. Had the repairman come out to look at it, he said the condensing coil is leaking. The fix would be replace the compressor, condensing coil and evaporator coil the whole sealed unit. I asked the repairman isn't this unusual for a frig to be only 2 years old and have this type of problem. He said because I live by the ocean in an corrosive environment this is the reason this happened. I mentioned to him that I had a 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator in the utility room that has been running just find all this time. The only good thing out of this is that problem in the sealed unit is covered under a 5 year warranty.

If you search on the Internet you will find lots of people, including myself who have purchased these side-by-side GE refrigerator/freezers and have problems with the shelving constantly collapsing and sending your food tumbling out of the unit when you open the door. This is clearly a design flaw. They made the shelves too narrow and they will fall in between the notches that are meant to hold them. AVOID!

I bought this LG french door refrigerator (with ice & water in the door) in July of 2008. It's design (especially coveted the ice/water shelf for pichers) and energy star standing coupled with price (not bought at Amazon) led to choosing LG. Immediately the ice dispenser began jamming, a regular occurrence onward. I experimented with different size cubes but that had no impact on the jamming. We use the ice dispenser multiple times daily. It soon was clear to me the failing was a design fault not a mechanical failure. We previouly had for 19 years an in the door dispenser that had never once failed-it was an auger type that occupied the top left shelf in the refrigerator. The LG is totally in the door and basically relies on gravity to feed the ice. A few months later we got notice that the Energy Star rating did not apply to this refrigerator after all. Bought this frig 1 1/2 years ago. It was during the time LG was selling them for around $1300.00 at Home Depot.Retail was $2400.00 We have only
used this frig for about 5 months because it is used in a cottage we shut down during the winter.The best thinf about the frig is it's looks.
The frig temperature runs about 5 degrees
warmer than the readout states. Chilled water isn't cold enough.When you try and get ice, the auger runs but it takes up to a minute to fill a glass with ice.And now the icemaker quit making ice altogether. Nothing. Not a single cube.We use this frig mostly on weekends.It gets very little use.We are very disappionted with this frig and LG won't be a choice when buying future products.
