Cheap, Thin & Flimsy, April 19, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ampad 20-8030R Gold Fibre Personal Notebook, College/Medium Rule, 5x7 Inches, White/Burgundy, 130 Sheets (Office Product) The title of this review really says it all. This notebook is cheaply made; the pages, cover and back are thin and flimsy...
The pages are so thin that even with a light hand and a smooth gel pen I can easily read what's written on the back from the front of the page and vice versa. For some unknown reason the micro-perforations are nearly a half inch from the spiral/wire binding which seriously cuts into the usable portion of the page. There are page number and date heading box on each page which are particularly useless.
The front cover, while a mildly attractive burgundy marble design is incredibly thin and cheap. The pocket on the back is poorly glued in place. I don't expect either to last very long. The back cover is very poorly made cardboard somewhat thicker than the front but even cheaper in quality. It has almost no rigidity and is easily bent.
I only paid a few dollars for this otherwise I'd be returning it. I'll use it but I'm not at all... Read more
Price is right, but pages stick together, June 17, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ampad 20-8030R Gold Fibre Personal Notebook, College/Medium Rule, 5x7 Inches, White/Burgundy, 130 Sheets (Office Product) Kind of embarrassing to be sitting in a client meeting thumbing through each and every page as I prepare my new notebook, pulling the adjoining pages apart with this velcro ripping sound. It seems like some glue got loose on the spiral binding side, though I don't know why there would be glue...
Nit: maybe it's just my own use cases, but I'd prefer the date to be on the outer margin and the page number (which I don't use) on the binding side of each page.

Perfect!!, April 21, 2008 By Sassy Lady (Texas) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase These are high quality notebooks and exactly what I was looking for. They have 130 pages each which is more than most notebooks like this. For people who write lots of notes, like me, these are perfect. The cover is very sturdy. The metal wire is sturdy and heavy-duty, and the pages are very easy to tear out, and without leaving a mess of little shredded strips behind that you have to clean out. These are more heavy duty than the ones I used to buy at the drugstore. I would highly recommend these notebooks, especially if you are a big note maker like me!!
