They're too flimsy to write on unless they're on a desk. Also, the pages are technically perforated, but practically, they might as well not be. You cannot rip the pages out of these pads cleanly. It's a horrible product. Go with Ampad for your legal pads. I'm going back.

However, it does fit some of my needs. I use these pads now to take notes on class, or as scrap paper when studying, etc.
However, I would not recommend to use these legal pads for anything professional. Initially, I wanted to use them as replacement pads for my padded portfolio, but that's not going to happen anymore..
