There are a lot of occasions when I need to make a quick note for my future reference, and affixing said note to a document helps provide a reminder for me. Hence, Post-It notes make my life a bit easier.
I even like the different colors. Adds a kind of comfort level and the bright colors add a somewhat cheery note.
So, after years of seeing these as little more than kitsch, I have come to appreciate that these pop-up notes actually make my life a wee bit easier.

I keep a pad and pen in my pocket at all times, because let's face it; there's no telling when an emergency may come up. I'm an advertising major at the University of Texas, and I know the value of being able to write down an idea before it escapes forever. Sure I get laughed at occasionally when I pull out the Post-Its to jot down a web address or do some quick math, but to me, the Post-It pad is a necessary companion which I can't live long without. When I first saw the TV ad for Super Sticky Post-Its, I was out the door to find them before the next commercial was over. They're pure genius! Like regular Post-Its but much much better. They made it to the top of my Christmas list this year, and it's a good thing, because I go through about one pad a week. But all of this is nothing compared to the true potential of Post-It notes.
