The Post-It Note, December 12, 2007 This review is from: Post-it Notes Original Pad, 3 x 3 Inches, Canary Yellow, 100 Sheets per Pad, 24 Pads per Pack (654-24VAD) (Office Product) I could tell she left in a hurry, not just by the fact that the drawers were still open, and clothes were still cluttered about that didn't make it into her suitcase, but by the Post-It note she left on the mirror.
At least she didn't leave me the mess of lipstick that others have left me, as the Post-It notes leave no residue. Sided right to leave a note direct and to the point, without all the fuss of trying to explain why, or whith whom. Just a simple, "Goodbye", was all that was given, and really, all that was needed.
The yellow was subtle, and somewhat soothing, not a harsh glare delivering the message that left my heart in pieces on the floor. Yet, the Post-It note hung there, holding onto the message, and onto the mirror, despite the hours that had gone by since I presume she had left. I grabbed the pad that she had left on the counter and wrote myself a quick shopping list: Beer (lots), pizza (frozen), toilet paper, and a fresh copy of Hustler.

They were yellow, but they were not the yellow of cornsilk. Nor, indeed, were they the yellow of goldenrod, or of bile, or of tiger swallowtail butterflies. They were not the color of schoolbusses, or omelets, or the fiery chariot of Phoebus which moves in a golden arc across the heavens. They were not the color of stale butter on a windowsill, or the color of the wallpaper in a short story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. They were not the color of the glassy eyes of flies trapped in amber, nor were they the color of sensationalist journalism from the late 19th century--nay! They were canary yellow, a pleasing color, not too harsh on the eyes.

Unfortunately it IS individually wrapped. In which case I should have just gone with my second choice -- the multipack of recycled post-it notes.
