However, the advantage of these over the whitelines is that the Russel+Hazel notebooks have perforations and numbered lines; if you are frequently detaching paper or doing numbered lists in your notes, you might prefer these.
The hard board covers were fairly sturdy, but would definitely be the worse for wear after a semester. And yes, they are expensive. On the other hand, I'd only use one or two a semester, and thus the surcharge for better note taking was more than worth it, for me. What would you pay for an A GPA? The right tools can make all of the difference.
