This sticky note pad comes with 5 sizes and 5 colors. How cool is that? The five different sizes are on the pad in a stair-step/tier style. The largest size is on the bottom, next largest is next, on up to the smallest size being on top. The smallest size (which is indeed a regular-sized sticky note) is orange. The next size up is bright yellow. The next size is lime green. Next is bright blue. Last (and the biggest size) is hot pink.
I think this is cool because sometimes I need a sticky note that is bigger than a regular sticky note. With this sticky note pad, I have a variety of sizes to choose from. And a sticky note can be pulled out without breaking up the whole pad.
These sticky notes fill my office-work needs. I need these more at work than at home, so they are at work.

I love to use sticky notes as book markers.
I am in several book clubs and I can use these to jot notes on and mark the page in the book before the discussion. The Avery Steps Sticky notes are great because I can choose a color without having to ruin the whole pad to get to the color I want. The notes are perforated. These are also in several sizes which I love because it gives me plenty of room to write what I need. I can fold over the note and have my book marker in place.
The adhesive on the back of these sticky notes are enough to keep the note in place but I don't have to worry about removing it from the page in my book or from wherever I am placing the note.
We also use these for reminders on computers and the fridge. The uses are endless. I love the vibrant colors and Avery adds the feature of steps and various lengths! Great product!

I assumed that these were all regular-sized sticky notes arrayed in a step configuration in the package, but they are actually different sizes with the purple being almost twice the size of the orange. I'm not sure what I'll use the larger notes for, but I'm sure they will come in handy at some point.
Other than that, they're sticky notes. What is there to say? The adhesive is strong, they come in a variety of colors, there were indeed 150 sheets (I counted) . . .
I'm not sure I see a difference between Avery and Post It - they both get the job done.
